Millie Noble is a London-based photographer whose work is strongly influenced by her upbringing in rural England, academic background in Geography, and passion for sport. With a keen interest in space, place, and environment, Millie weaves these elements into her visual style, blending a documentary approach with a deep appreciation for the world around her. A former competitive cyclist, Millie’s fascination with the culture of sport deeply influences her work. Her photographic career began when assisting a documentary filmmaker alongside her degree, an experience that solidified her passion for capturing authentic, human moments. This documentary foundation remains central to her practice, whilst exploring the intersections of fashion, sport and design aiming to merge these worlds within her storytelling.
The slower, more intentional nature of working with film allows her to achieve the rich textures and depth of colour that are central to the mood of her images. Her strong visual style is also influenced by her father, a furniture designer, who instilled in her a sharp eye for design and composition. Ultimately, she seeks for her work to evoke emotional resonance, with each image telling a powerful and meaningful story through a carefully curated visual language.
